The pear cut catches light like nothing else I own, and the double-claw bezel makes the spessartite feel secure while still letting it shine. The tapered gold band is comfortable for all-day wear, though I do catch myself staring at that orange glow during meetings.
The double-claw bezel is a nice touch—stone feels secure—but the gold band is thinner than the photos suggested, so it’s not as substantial on the finger as I’d hoped. Still, the spessartite has a deep orange glow that works well for daily wear.
