The oval aquamarine of the Azalea Ring is set in a double-claw bezel above a tapered band of 14K yellow gold, its pale blue-green tone clear to the eye. Named from the Latin aqua marina, "sea water", the gem was sacred to the Romans, who engraved it with the image of Neptune and called it the Lover's Stone for the happiness it was said to bring a marriage.
