The 9K yellow gold setting is daintier than it looks in photos, yet the opal's fire still catches the light beautifully every time I wear it. I've had it on almost daily for two weeks and the chain hasn't tarnished or snagged once.
The opal's flash of blue and green against the polished 14K gold is even more mesmerizing in person. I love how substantial the pendant feels without being heavy—it's clearly solid gold.
The opal shifts from pale blue to soft green depending on the light, which is exactly the ethereal look I was after. The 14K gold chain feels sturdy enough for daily wear, though I wish the pendant itself were slightly larger.
